Audience research

Firstly, knowing what genre our target audience liked led to us choosing a song from one of the mini pitches. Our audience mainly voted for rock so we decided to use Dan O'Brien's song 'Far From Me'. Although he does fall under the alternative pop genre it is very similar to rock and people who said other often specified that this is the genre they like.

With this knowledge that majority of our audience does actually want to listen to alternative rock we were confident that the choice of music would satisfy them. However 42% saying no is still high and it is a large percentage of the audience to make unsatisfied.

Strengths:

• The artist is the key figure in the image and with the highlight he stands out.
• The title is the largest text

Weaknesses:

• Too much text
• Too many different fonts making the text look extremely dominant
• The image looks extremely stretched and the quality is low
• The face of the artist is not seen.
• No release date
