Genre Conventions

• Firstly, just from few shots its very clear that this rap song as well as many others mainly uses hand held cameras. This speeds up the tempo of the video and fits well with lyrics and the beat. 
• Fast cuts are also used to speed up the tempo too and transitions often are synced well with the beat
• Casual clothing is usually the main costume but also lots of jewelry is used along with many models in rap videos. Through this the main artist is seen as respected and rich. 
• Along with the hand held camera shots and fast cuts close ups of the artist are the main types of shots to make him the center of attention as usually groups of people are seen around the artist.
• Also through the close ups clear emotions are shown. This makes the music video tell more of a story that the viewer needs to strongly consider in order to understand
• Finally, lots of different effects are used in order to speed up or even slow down the tempo in some cases. In comparison to other genres rap music videos may need most work in post-production.
