Research - Magazine Advert (Tomasz Wojton)

How different genres target their audience

These 2 indie pop bands are likely to target young adults and possibly teenagers. The use of darker colors and more unnatural imagery as well as more simple fonts makes the adverts look more mature and definitely attract the young adult/ adult audience

These 2 pop artists in magazine adverts often have them being the main and central image as that is what attracts the children and teenage audience. The bright colors on the
Olly Murs album and more creative fonts on both make the image nicer to look at from a child's perspective.

Rap however, tries to keep a very a serious mood with dark colors and clothing. Also the artist shown often is looking away or has a serious facial expression, The clothing is easily relateable to teenagers and up.

Here is a selection of few NME magazines. NME is a very popular magazine and includes many music album adverts. They sell magazines online and in high street stores. To help their customers find magazines they like easier they partnered up with google to allow a genre selection at the top.
